Morgan James’ Founder, David L. Hancock, Elected Chairman of National Center for the Prevention of Community Violence

 Hampton, VA – One of the nation’s leading publishers is taking the helm of the National Center for the Prevention of Community Violence (NCPCV), based in Hampton, and San Jose, CA.

The National Center for the Prevention of Community Violence is the nonprofit organization founded by national gang consultant Bobby Kipper in 2010 to advance best practice models across the nation in youth violence and bullying initiatives.

New York-based Morgan-James Publishing founder David L. Hancock accepted the Chairman role at the nonprofits annual meeting in January.

The Board also named Bud Ramey, public affairs advisor to NCPCV, as a Director. Ramey has 40 years of marketing, public relations and public affairs experience and is the 2010 winner of the Silver Anvil Award for Public Affairs from the Public Relations Society of America.

The Center is releasing No COLORS – 100 Ways to Stop Gangs from Taking Away Our Communities on February 14 nationally and internationally. New York-based Morgan James Publishing is handling the release, which Morgan James views as being one of the most relevant nonfiction books of the year. No COLORS focuses on proven community solutions to the youth violence crisis now threatening the fabric of America.
