		<description>You are right. Not using social media today is the fastest way to failure for any brand, and it is unacceptable simply because it is the way of the world.  To not accept that fact is to have your head in the sand!  It is also free advertising, and stats show over 50% of ALL online communications is on social media sites.  Sure, if you want to not use it, go ahead, but it will be a death sentence for your brand, and you will not be left standing in the end.  If that is acceptable to you, then great.  For the rest of us, it is not, so we will all be using social media to enhance our product as best we can.</description>

My apologies for the perceived harshness.  It should be clarified that any individual person is absolutely free to stay away from social media... I do not mean to state that everyone in the world should be represented on social media.  HOWEVER, brands and organizations NOT on social media are taking the huge risk of not being able to hear what is being said about them in the marketplace and be able to join that conversation.  I do believe that brands and organizations who stay away from social media, for the most part, are making a mistake.  OF COURSE, there are exceptions!  I apologize for not clarifying that part of my thought process.  Thanks for your thoughtful and honest comment... please continue to let us know what you think!  Obviously, we can trust you to share your mind!
