Morgan James Builds!
Our Vision
“We are dedicated to the exercise of faith in action by helping provide safe, decent, affordable homes and communities in a unique partnership with Habitat for Humanity, and low-income families,” says David Hancock. Morgan James, it’s authors and Habitat for Humanity Peninsula have joined together to create Morgan James Builds, an ongoing program to raise awareness for Habitat’s cause and help them build. The first project: The Morgan James Habitat Home.(see the cause and donate on facebook!)
A Habitat home costs $65,000 to build and is 1,200 sq. ft. This means each square foot costs $54.17. Morgan James has committed to raise the full cost of a home, one square foot at a time. You can become a shareholder in the Morgan James Habitat Home by buying a share, or 1 square foot. Each shareholder will receive a certificate showing their participation in this cause.
Our Goal
1. To build another home for a family in need by
- raising 1,200 shares in 2009
- partnering with local businesses in Southeastern Virginia for cabinets, plumbing, etc.
3. To raise awareness for Habitat for Humanity
